The Baffin
Jacket uses a shell fabric that is durably water resistant; in fact the
fabric itself is waterproof although some moisture ingress is possible
through the seams. With moisture taken care of, there is just the issue
of insulation. The 80/20 down fill has 550 cuin Fill Power
and delivers great insulation. It’s highly compressible too, making it
easier to pack down. The insulation is further enhanced by small details
that make a big difference. Internal cold block fleece cuffs keep even
more cold out while a thermal interlined hood with a fake fur trim let
wind and snow know who’s boss.
